First class have been very busy! In PE, we were completing the dance strand and we even made up our own routines! In Literacy, we planned and wrote our own narrative stories including a setting, characters, a problem and a solution. We have also been working very hard on our phonics and deciding if words have a soft ‘c’/'g' or a hard ‘c’/'g'. In Maths, we have been learning about addition strategies and we were using cubes to help us with regrouping. This week we started learning about 'Weight'. We are having great fun using balances. In Irish, we learned all about ‘bia’. We described what was in our lunchboxes ‘as Gaeilge’ and we completed surveys to see which foods people in our class liked and disliked.
