We had a wonderful day of racing at the very well organised Brother School Cross-Country Races in Trinity College Sports and Leisure Complex. All of the 4th, 5th and 6th class races were run over 1,000m which made it a very difficult and tiring event. Each race had over 100 children running in it which made the start a very rough and arduous affair, and certainly not for the faint of hearted. All 60 of our pupils ran superbly, some after picking themselves up after bad falls, and finished their respective races. On finishing, each child was presented with the now famous Brother Schools XC t-shirt which they wasted no time in getting signed by all their pals, and even a teacher or two. A collector's item, for sure! 3 of our 6 teams medaled (4th class boys - bronze, 5th class girls - bronze and 6th class girls - silver) which was a wonderful achievement. We also had two podium finishes with Fionn Kelly finishing 2nd in the 4th class race and Senan Kelly winning the 6th class race. Well done to each and every one of them. They are a super bunch who are a joy to bring anywhere.
