Pond Dipping & Nest Building
4th classes had great fun this morning with Mouse using our school pond and grounds for some nature activities. Margaret Condon from Castleknock Tidy Towns also joined in the fun!
"Today, we went pond dipping to investigate what was under the surface of our school pond.
We found tadpole newts with gills, wandering pond snails, ramshorn snails and water hog louse. I really enjoyed it because we got to see how all of the creatures were doing and what they looked like.
We also got to build our own nests in trees. We even put an egg into them to see how strong the nests were!
